Khatam Al-Quran 100 Times Ceremony at Medina Ramadan,Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium Square on 17 July , on the night of the 20th of Ramadan .

More than 3300 people are participated in Khatam Al-Quran 100 Times Ceremony as commemorate Nuzul Quran Day on Ihya' Ramadan Program in Terawih tents at Sultan Muhammed IV Stadium yard last night.

The program was organized by state government and Majlis Pembandaran Kota Bharu Bandaraya Islam (MPKB-BRI) are begin after Terawih prayers and the program was led by Egyptian imam, Sheikh Hisham Abdul Bari.

During the event, the participant are divided into 30 groups to read a particular juzu'of the Al- Quran. All the participant are rewarded with Al- Quran, which provided by using money from public donations since the begining of Ramdan.

The Chairman of the Local Government, Tourism and Cultur,Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan, former Mufti PerlisProf. Madya Dr. Mohd. Asri Zainul Abidin and representative of  Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) which sponsered the bag to fills the al-Quran to be given to the participants are present during the ceremony.

Tadarus program are well received by the public, so that some the participants have to sit outside the tents. The Tadarus program has complete within one hour before the ceremony ended. The ceremony are continued with a talk  on 'The Beauty of al-Quran' by Mr. Mohd. Asri.

There was a kid of 5 years old, among the participants of Tadarus program. The kid participant, Aisyatul Awatif Zulkarnain  is from  Lundang, Kota Bharu, who recited juzuk 24.

Aisyatul Awatif are accompanied by her aunt, Maisuri Ismail, 45, did not face major problems during reciting specific juzu with other group members. She had to stop almost at the end of the program to go to the toilet.

Maisuri said, her niece was learnig literacy and reading method since last year through the 'Al-Furqan' system and is able to read the al-Quran since last May and now she has complete juzu one.

Aisyatul Awatif said, she was very happy that she can participate in the tadarus program as she had interest in reciting al-Quran.
